Adding a Domain Name to WHMCS that is already registered and with us.
From the clients Summary Tab, click 'Add New Order'
Order Details:
Select Bank Transfer or Credit Card
Product/Service:
Product/Service - Set to 'None' unless the client wants the domain name redirected. In which case, Select 'Domain Redirection'
Domain - type the domain name
Billing Cycle - Leave as 'Monthly'
Domain:
Domain Registration - Set to ' Transfer'
Leave other fields as default.
Order Settings:
Order Confirmation - Leave Un-ticked because the client assumes the domain name is already registered with us.
Generate Invoice - Leave Un-ticked otherwise an invoice will be generated for 1 year domain registration.
Order Status - Pending
Register - None.
Untick - Sent to Register
Untick - Send confirmation email
Click - Accept Order
No product/service should have been created as this is just a 'Parked Domain'. No hosting, no email, no redirection etc. Just parked so that no one else can register it.
Under the domains tab - Click on 'Whois' to view domain expiry and registration date. Copy these dates to WHMCS.
Set the 'Next Due Date' to one month prior expiry date. This gives the client one month prior expiry to pay our invoice to renew.
